Grape arrival

After picking the grapes the idea is to get them at the winery.
This picture is for methe best example of what India is about.
That was the first day of our crushing season and the tractor which was carrying our grapes broke down (ie : a wheel flew out) just at the winery gate. By that time you understand that the crushing season will be tough, and believe me it was ! However you are in India so there is always a solution ! That was our solution for that day , to carry the crates by hand. It took ages but the grapes finally ended up in the press. So next time you drink Sula, if you drink Sula , think about the energy it took to produce it !!!!
This picture is also so much India because of the women. Look at how beautiful they are, look at the grace, look at the colours. They are carrying 20 kg crates and still manage to look like princess. To give you perspective at the same time I was probably wearing an old jean, with a crappy T-Shirt, full of holes and stain ..........no comment.
