Vendeur de glace

It is one of my first pictures from India and one of my first memory of my last stay there. I have been thinking a lot about it lately and wanted to post that image.
I love the peaceful way this man is walking even though he is doing a very tiresome job. I love the way he seems to be meditating and the way his reflection is present in the watery sand , like giving us a proof of his meditation on himself. He seems both very lonely and very strong, as if he was going through fate the best he could.

This picture brings back to my mind a lot of happy memories as well as some unpleasant one.
The emotions of my stay are coming back in waves , crashing in me and I slowly realise how much those years mean to me , how much I have learn, how much I have change.

I always wish I could fully share that with the people I love and I'm always disapointed to be only able to give glimpses of what it was and what it is.

An idea of wine

"Wine is one of the loveliest and most intricate of nature's gifts to us, since its creation is unlocked by the human interaction, and it enables us to taste the landscapes and seasons of the natural world with extraordinary precision. To drink wine is to drink nature. This is why most of us love wine; it is also a kind of love for the world itself, for being alive and being here"
Andrew Jefford - Decante June 06

I wanted to share this comment with you as it expresses better than I could have done it why wine is important to me and why it is more than just a job. I hope I will be able to make all of you once share the joy of wine......this sounds almost religious now !!!!
