Music and being open

Music has always been part of my life and has accompany me through my emotions.

Normaly I love discovering and going off the beaten track, maybe to make sure I'm different.

A few weeks ago, listening to the radio and watching TV I learned about MIKA , the new kid on the block, the new shining star and I thought to myself never...

Well you should never say never as we so matter of fact say.

I had the opportunity to listen to his album and it was "music at first listening" if I can badly copy "the love at first sight" sentence.

His music just makes my happy , I love his sounds, I like the texture of his voice and the crazy world he has created.

It is one of the album you stumble upon and where you like every single songs and I just felt like sharing this emotion. So here you are.

I guess it also once again taught me about what being really open and different is .....yep keep on learning, still a long road ahead!!!!!

Non je ne suis pas tombée dans un mysthicisme profond.
Cet aprés-midi en bravant les goutes je suis entrée dans la cathédrale de Bordeaux et j'ai eu envie de faire cette photo. Alors voilà.
L'extrait de Camus je trouve l'accompagne bien.
Il s'agit surtout d'un de mes livres favoris. Je trouve son texte et ses mots d'une beauté à couper le souffle. Je peux passer des heures à le lire juste pour la musique des mots et des images.
J'ai decouvert un extrait de ce livre en cours de français en premiére et déjà à l'epoque j'avais été subjuguée. Je voulais le partager.
Comme j'aimerai pouvoir ecrire avec autant de beauté

Finally

After a very long silence I felt the need to write agian on my blog and to write on a regular basis. It is like I come from a very long transition period which I guess is how to deal with the impact my Indian stay had on me.

Promise I won't bore you to death with that.

I chose this picture of sea and sky (taken last week-end in Royan) because I have felt the need for many months to be on a desert island, surrounded only by the sky and the sea.

I want to resart my writing by sharing with you an extract from a small book written by Azouz Begag "L'ile des gens d'ici" (the island of the people from here"

Azouz Begag grew up in the fifties in a slum in Lyon (from Algerian parent) and he is now an amazing writer as well as a minister in our current governement. I have a lot of admiration for the man and I'm always touched by his writing.
